Your skin is perf and mine is so not perf. How do you do it? And please don't say genetics and water. Thanks

Well thank you! But my skin is not perfect. I’m not saying this to be self-deprecating or because I can’t take a compliment. I’m saying it because no one has perfect skin. No one. So if you think perfect is a skin goal you will never be happy with your skin. Now good skin is attainable and sorry to say water and genetics play a large roll in it. But really good skin like good abs starts in the kitchen. Diet is really critical to having clear skin. Food sensitivities can reek havoc. Now I’m not sure what skin issues you have: hormonal, cystic, clogged pores or full on acne so my advice is general. Eliminate wheat and dairy for a few weeks and see of that improves your skin. Eat Leafy green and foods high in D and B12. Drink water and tea. Lots of water. Sorry. Sad but true.
Use a mild soap, I use ivory or dove. Moisturizer using raw organic coconut oil with CLEAN fingers. This will kill bacteria an help heal scarring. Buy an over the counter Acne spot medicine. Use it sparingly before bed. It can dry your skin out. Gently exfoliate using a CLEAN washcloth. Change your pillowcase a few times a week.
I wear minimal makeup. A tinted moisturizer from Olay and a touch of Rimmel powder. That’s really it. You can’t really cover up acne. Let your skin breathe so it can heal. Always remove all your makeup. I don’t wait for bed. I do when I get home. I like to wash the dirt off for the day.
And don’t EVER pick your skin! That will only lead to scars and more issues.
If you want to come off Anon submit me a pic and I can tell you more specifically what you can do.
Good luck! PPP

Hi Perhaps. I'm outlining a story and am having the hardest time picking names everything sounds so made up. Any advice?

Hey Anon! Great question. Choosing character names is very important. You have to think about the year of your characters birth for one thing. Take the name Aidan for example. It was not popular until Sex and the City, sure there is a Saint Aidan but the chances of being a 20 something named Aidan are not as great. So I avoid any “trendy” names. Or torn bodice names like Drake, or Duke, Asher, Cole…. Same for girls avoid the cliche names like Brittany, Bella, overly fancy names etc.
I like to keep it simple but meaningful. So in Darkness and White. Amy is the main Character. Amy means Beloved, but Amy is also a nickname for Amelia. Amelia means “to work” and really that is what the character does. She works over and over again towards a goal. Will, short for William means protector. That was a perfect fit for his character. And Dino is short for Bernadino which means roar like a bear. If you are reading the story you know that Amy calls Will Bear, so it also being the origin of Dino’s name will actually be a breadcrumb in the plot.
Also use names of things you like. So Roadhouse is my guilty pleasure movie. Patrick Swayzes is a bouncer and his character name is Dalton, hence Dr. Tommy Dalton.
You need to take some time. Think about the age of your characters, what their “parents” would name them and then do some research about name origins.
Good luck and thanks for this fun ask.
